Minimizing Sound Heard Through a Garage Door
April 17, 2014
Increasing interest in a soundproof garage door for residential and commercial applications has spurred on the newest innovation by ArmRLite! For special applications that have a STC rating requirement or for customers that just want their garage doors to limit the amount of sound that passes through, ArmRLite now offers our new Acoustical / Sound Reducing Package for select welded aluminum and glass garage doors.
Sound Minimizing Aluminum and Glass Garage Door Package
This new sound minimizing package tackles the issue of sound reduction by breaking it into two parts: glass and frame. Acoustical, noise reducing glass with a max STC rating of 35 is used in conjunction with polyurethane foam filled rails and stiles to buffer the noise transference commonly seen with regular aluminum and glass garage doors. Polyurethane foam is injected into the aluminum frame of our welded garage doors, acting both as a sound buffer and insulating the entire frame. Please feel free to contact our sales and customer service department with any questions regarding our sound minimizing garage door package option.
