ArmRLite Advantage: Custom Glass and Window Options

March 27, 2020

The most visible part of a glass garage door is the glass. Glazing makes up more external surface area than the steel and aluminum parts combined. If glass is such a big part of these doors, why do other manufacturers limit their options to only a handful of glass types? We don’t have that answer. What we do know is that ArmRLite offers more diverse glass and glazing options for our welded sectional doors than any of our competitors.

Custom Garage Doors: Glass Options Galore

ArmRLite Advantage Window OptionsArmRLite has been leading the way in glass garage door manufacturing for more than 60 years. We’ve designed for and accommodated options that were deemed “impossible” by other suppliers. We love projects that are labeled difficult or impossible. We like the challenge, but also we enjoy providing a product our customers did not have to settle for due to product limitations of other suppliers.

One example of our unique custom options is our 1” overall thick insulated glass unit. Where all other glass garage door manufacturers cap their insulated glass thickness at ½”, ArmRLite’s welded aluminum frames are able to accommodate a 1” thick unit. This difference in thickness is one of the reasons ArmRLite can offer more glass options and make-ups than anyone else on the market today.

The type of glass we offer is just one sphere of customization. Another sphere is window options. Currently, ArmRLite is the only glass garage door manufacture in the United States that offers operable awning windows. These windows can be opened and pushed out; allowing fresh air through the garage door without having to open the entire door. Applications such as home gyms, offices, and restaurants reap the benefit of this flexibility on a daily basis.

If you have any questions regarding our customer glass or window options, please feel free to contact us. Our sales team would be glad to help!
