ArmRLite’s DefendDoor is a Level 1 Ballistic aluminum and glass sectional overhead door. The ballistic glass and panels incorporated into our aluminum frames are rated by the Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL). UL is a leading non-profit, nationally recognized laboratory authorized by OSHA to perform safety testing. Level 1 Ballistic glass (or panel) can withstand the impact of bullets shot from small-caliber handguns like 9mm weapons.

In addition to bullet resistance, the DefendDoor can be supplied with a windload rating if required. Windload ratings are often needed on projects in coastal or high wind event (hurricane) prone areas of the United States.
